About Me

I’m a Cajun-born, Texas-raised, New York-adoptee now living in Barcelona, Spain. A longtime freelance editor and writing coach, I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients across myriad mediums. I previously served as a Lead Editor for the online publication Good Men Project, which aims to re-imagine masculinity in the twenty-first century. My primary focus was social justice, queer issues, and education. A former educator myself, I’ve taught at the elementary and university levels and presented widely on social-justice teaching. I have a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University and New York University. I’ve taught poetry in Seoul, Korea and served as a writing teacher consultant with the Bay Area Writing Project at The University of California at Berkeley. In addition to private client work, I also serve as Senior Editor and Writing Coach for Forster-Thomas Educational Consulting. On my down time, I’m an avid runner, Rollerblader and beach lover, and I’ve been working in earnest to become fluent Spanish!
